  2. New update is out so you can go deep sea diving. Pretty simplistic as you’d expect but quite relaxing. Bubbles appear on the surface so you dive there, grab whatever is on the bottom and come back up. I wondered how they’d handle boundaries and there’s a net running all around the island to stop you from going too far, but the distance you can swim is quite far.

  3. How many Marvel characters have fire powers, or have wings, or are geniuses, or are red headed, supporting females. Marvel has no concern for overcrowding or having too similar characters this will be fine. Also like I said on the last page an Alien/Brood war could be fun. Or Aliens team up with Annihilus and become part of his new Annihilation wave and only Predators know how to beat them or something.

  4. The thing is though, Marvel already have The Brood as the Xenomorph parallel... Plus Death's Head, The Fury and a few others to parallel Predator. I don't really know how they will integrate them without annexing the established "knock-offs"? That said, this image does look pretty cool.

  5. Not to mention an increase in overall interest in games. I feel like we've had successes that might have been unthinkable ten years ago. Remember when developers were fighting to get a new IP with a female lead? And here with are with Horizon being a big success and Horizon 2 the new posterchild for an entire new console. There's an audience for almost everything now. Even games like Astral Chain or Fire Emblem Three Houses would have been super low-key nerdy games for the initiated but today they're selling like crazy. I can't really explain this sudden shift but it most certainly means more money for publishers as well.

  6. Noting of course that microtransactions, DLC, lootboxes, season passes, mobile games and monthly subscription services have all brought alternative funding streams to some video games publishers over the last few years. e.g. EA makes 55% from game sales, 45% from DLC, microtransactions, while for Take Two it's 42% from game sales, 58% microtransactions. https://metro.co.uk/2019/08/06/rockstar-owner-take-two-makes-58-money-microtransactions-dlc-10527500/

  7. I rarely buy new games anymore because I can't justify current new game prices. I'll check it when it's on sale.

  8. House of Lords recommends that loot boxes should be regulated under gambling laws: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-53253195 "If a product looks like gambling and feels like gambling, it should be regulated as gambling," "The Government must act immediately to bring loot boxes within the remit of gambling legislation and regulation,"
