  1. Just watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the first time in years. It's still pretty good, obviously there's loads of stuff I couldn't possibly have understood as a kid. The most impressive thing is that they managed to get Disney and Warner Bros characters not only in the same film but in the same scenes

  2. Dark Souls 1, Attempt number Four! When it comes to hobbies, an issue I have is that I overextend. I used to read five books, play multiple games and watch at least two series at once. Whenever something new took my fancy, I added that to the pile. The problem is in recent times, I then go for long periods of Not indulging in hobbies. Trying to get back into multiple midway points after 6 months to a year, isn't as easy as I used to find it. So, in light of Quarantine, I decided to draw a line in the sand and focus on one thing at a time. Starting from the very beginning, Dark Souls won the coin toss. We begin anew with The Adventures of Zark! The Thief I chose Thief Class as they come pre-equipped with the Master Key. So you get to pick something else as your starter item. I chose Black Firebombs. Because, Fun Fact - Asylum Demon can be killed with five of them (I'm shocked they didn't patch that cheese strat out?). So I killed him at the first encounter and received the Demon Great Hammer.... Which I promptly lost, offering it to the Crow. It turns out, if you just drop an item in the nest and the Crow doesn't acknowledge it. You reset and it is just... gone ? So I'm already steam rolling towards Undead Burg. I met the Merchant, bought the Residence Key and promptly slew him for the Uchi. Now my Thief has a whole ninja vibe going on. Next stop, the first Silver Knight and Taurus Demon.

  3. The only reason Onward was released on Disney+ so soon is because it had already had a brief cinema run and didn't do that well. Putting Marvel movies straight onto Disney+ is a terrible idea for Disney. They currently have roughly 50 million subscribers, at £6 each they're making 300 million per month, so roughly 375 million dollars. So roughly 3.6 Billion per year. That's without movies in the cinema. Throw a Marvel movie in the cinema and they'll be making whatever their cut of 800 to 1 billion dollars is ON TOP the 375 million per month they're already making. 2 Marvel movies a year and 2 flagship titles a year roughly equates to 4 billion dollars box office. And most of those seats also own Disney+ now, so why would they settle for 3.6 billion when they know they could make 7? Disney won't lose money if they move everything to Plus, but they know they can almost double their profits if they put movies in the cinema first. And we all know the mouse loves the green.

  4. Chapter 4, and Yuna brings peace to the warring factions of the Youth League and New Yevon with just the power of song! Man, this game! If it gets any cheesier I might have to toast it. And yet I love it. It's just crazy enough to be completely endearing. I'm on chapter 5 now and the endgame is on offer if I want it, but there's also a hotspot mission in just about every corner of the map, and after spending nearly 100 hours in Spira over the last 4 or so months it seems in bad taste not to close out these stories. The first one is a little visit to see Wakka and Lulu's brat. Strangely large head on that kid, I must say. Like a blitzball. And how did that brain dead jock cop for Lulu?

  7. I wouldn't say that. I don't remember the names of the characters but there was one story you play – half of it his day-to-day job, the other half a fantasy world he imagines while working on said job – that wouldn't have worked as well without the interactive element. In fact I'd even say that was one of the best examples of interactive storytelling I've ever seen in a game so far. The others aren't quite on that level and some might possibly have worked in a non-interactive movie fashion as well, but there's more involvement and attachment to the world when you actively participate. The bathtub is another example.

  8. Fixed my PS4 Pro and it no longer sounds like it's about to take off, so I can now play this.
