Ha! I wish it was just that - I'm just loaded up socially at the minute. Between trying to look after one of my mates, looking after my kid half the time, AND spending time with the girlfriend on top of that, it's just tough getting decent time to get a game of ANYTHING in. Plus I work 7.30-5.45 Tues-Fri. Mondays are always with little dude too, so I can't even get on a console then. So yeah. Busy life right now. I'm sure it'll all settle again when I can change my hours in September. That was more of a rant than I expected...

Well GoT might have shit the bed, but HBO still have another fantasy adaptation coming out. This is the only YA thing I ever really liked, I think, other than Harry Potter. It's darker than Potter though and it's got a talking polar bear that wears armour which means it's better.

They are still saying it's a PS4 game. It will probably go cross-gen in the end

I think we all agree that despite foreshadowing and set up over past seasons the writing this season has been sloppy and rushed. That’s the reason I’m not enjoying this season, it just feels like they’re trying to wrap things up way to fast now to the detriment of the show. But I’m not angry about it, it’s a TV show, it isn’t worth getting angry about. I’m happy that some of you guys are enjoying it more than me. Same with Star Wars. I don’t like The Last Jedi for various reasons but I’m not angry about it because it’s just a movie, and this is coming from a guy who has a half sleeve of Star Wars tattoos. Toxic and entitled fandoms do my head in, and every time I see a petition like this one or the one for TLJ I pull back from the fandom a little bit more, which is a huge shame. I’m glad it’s over in a few days and then people can move on to hating something else. Probably Star Wars again ?‍♂️

I think this is definitely my switch off game at the minute. I'm having a hell of a lot of fun every time I play as the challenge ramps up. I'm about half way through Hard Mode with @Sly Reflex and @Whiskey_chaser, and we seem to work quite well together, splitting off where we need to and coming back together when it gets a little hairy. I've even noticed a couple of instances of flanking, which when it works just seems to absolutely rape any enemies. For someone that doesn't play games online very often, I can quite confidently say this just wouldn't work if I went through it in single player. Looking forward to bumping up to the next difficulty, and to getting at least comfortable with characters other than the Ranger. Now I just need to find the time to do it...

@Maf agree the stealth in Wolfenstein 2 is awful. The game really sucks up until after New York when the game kind of gives up on forcing stealth on you and just let's you play however. It took me a few weeks just to clear that level but once it was over I blazed through the rest in a day or two which I thought was great.

First-Person doesn't necessarily have to be an issue. Alien Isolation uses the same perspective and it works flawlessly there. Of course you could argue that the game is cheating by using the motion sensor but I'd rather look at it the other way around and say that that's a great idea to bypass the pitfalls of a more limited viewing area.

Kat Bailey, someone who's pretty reputable as far as writing on JRPGs goes, knows someone who has played the demo to ffvii remake So I'm going to guess possibly Jan or Feb for the release of part 1 and they will bundle the demo with the new FFXIV expansion. Or just do what Capcom did with REVII and put it up for plus subscribers at the show itself
