  2. got very lucky with the team I was on. I think the other 2 people on my team were talking to each other, they seemed to be working together in a way you don't if you can't fully communicate. They both seemed to get really good armour and really good gear pretty quickly too. The amount of kills they got (the main guy got 19 kills) meant they were just cherry picking everyone's gear, they were throwing loads of grenades and thermals, had loads of shield recovery and health recover. Basically they were much, much better at this than I am

  3. aka Tetris Battle Royale. 100 Tetris pieces fall out of a plane..... Actually it's 99 players and it's not quite what I expected from the trailer. What I thought it was going to be was everyone puts down a different piece, but this is 99 people all playing at once and everyone fires garbage at a different person (random, I assume) until that 99 player base gets whittled down to 1. I got 27 out of 99 on my first match, so that's an acceptable first try. Get in a lobby with the Japanese Tetris masters and you'll soon be boned though. 6. I just read Bloodborne: The Death of sleep from Titan Comics. Written by Ales Kot with Art by Piotr Kowalski and colour by Brad Simpson It was pretty good, especially for a video game adaptation. Some of the elements from the game, like the You Died screen, felt kinda forced and cheapened it a bit, but on the flip side to that it has some real nice lore expansion - such as why Iosefka won't open her clinic doors to hunters anymore. First issue was a bit slow, but it falls into a nice pace from 2 - 4 (it's only 4 issues). The art had some really nice, Mignola-esque panels in there, but as a whole it didn't do a lot for me. Not that it's bad, it just didn't excite me as much as it could have. It's a weird one because taking everything great about it into account it really could have been special, but looking everything that's just ok you see it could have been a lot worse. I enjoyed the story in the end though, and I'll be picking up and reading the next Bloodborne story these guys have done in a couple days.

  8. Cross progression is now live. All I had to do was go to Here and link my Switch (I'd already linked Xbox, Twitch and Mixer). Booted the game up and all my progression has magically transferred over, and will continue to work each way on Xbox and Switch. That's cool.

  9. Oh wait you mean they fixed my main problem with DQ ? Links Awakening btw, believe or not was inspired by David Lynch's films and Twin Peaks. It's a weird fucking game so I hear

  18. Play Resident Evil 2 Remake (PS4) - Enjoyed this a lot. Finished Leon’s campaign and now started Claire’s. Going to leave Mr X’s hat on this time. It suits him. Bayonetta 2 (Switch) - Missed this on WiiU, so nice to finally be playing it. Can I openly state that I absolutely adore the Bayonetta games in all their manic silliness. I’ve currently got flamethrowers strapped to my legs. FLAMETHROWERS!..........ON MY LEGS!! Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (Arcade) - So, the National Videogame Museum has just opened in Sheffield. Imagine my delight when I found out it has a SF3:3S cabinet. Bliss. Want Return of the Obra Dinn (PC) - My laptop probably wont run this as it struggles to run anything these days. Need a new laptop. A New Laptop (PC) - So I can play Return of the Obra Dinn. Bin God of War (PS4) - Excellent game. Finished the story, but left a few side quests unfinished. Due to me having to make space on my hard drive, most of those valkyries get to keep their wings. The Death Stranding hype (Hideo Kojima’s brain) - I feel like I should explain this more, but if Hideo Kojima can’t be bothered, why should I?

  19. Seriously this is a fucking racket, Record breaking year and you make 800 people unemployed at a cost which is way less than half that which the top 4 earn. I know company exist to make money but the sheer greed over recent years is undefendable, Not just at Activision (cough EA, UBI plus many more) Seriously I hope everybody either buy their shit second hand or Pirates these Greedy Fuck Nuggets need a lesson in humility.

  27. New high score in Gwent. Best in game card game since Triple Triad. One of the things I like about this game is that people are where they’re supposed to be and go where they are supposed to go. Like I went to Triss’ house in Novigrad (which isn’t even marked on the map) in between missions, and she was there. Vernon Roche asked me to meet him in Oxenfurt and I was going to fast travel there but he got on his horse and started riding so I just followed him the whole way there. I think that the music, while very good (and occasionally excellent), is the one area where TW3 doesn’t really stand out compared to its rivals. However the sound design and voice acting is another story...

  29. Final comments. Me and @Duck did the end game mission and it feels so much different with the full on gear. However it was hard (thanks to a 3 man squad and the random team mate spending most his time needing reviving). @Duck was rightly saying we need to push forward but I never felt confident to do so because we were constantly getting flanked and being assaulted by drones and fucking robots. Enemies were going prone and shooting (which is new), and my god, take out the yellow bar medics or that guy you just killed is going to get revived and come back for another go at you. It reminds me that this is an RPG looter shooter with a cover dynamic so you have to use it and you absolutely have to be tactical. Going toe to toe like the random squad mate or overextending without communicating gets you (and your team mates) dead. Unlike my other main games Destiny or Warframe, there's no scything through multitudes of enemies like a power space ninja. You're really quite vulnerable and it's a very different, sometimes cautious and planned play style. Teams will have to strategise on the hoof and communicate their intentions. It's slower. There's no killing flow. That won't be for everyone. That said I liked it. It's got definite improvements on Div 1. Feels like a better inhabited and lovely looking world. Side missions are much more engaging too. The weapons are all different in their own right and I enjoyed using pretty much all of them, apart from double bloody barrelled shotguns.
