Pikman
Never got into AC before and will see how this one goes. Its basically about collecting and building up a campsite right? Not sure where the satisfaction is yet but will give it a bit more time
Pikman
Deleted it, total time waster for me...
Sambob
Animal crossing tied off behind microtransactions sounds like a nightmare. Have you noticed anything slightly fucked with that side of things yet?

Exactly the reason I'm steering clear of this one, having to wait for a timer to tick down after I shake a tree sounds like they have no idea why AC are so intriguing. If you're going to get stopped just by doing the things you do by milling around town, then what's the point in it at all? It's a game about milling about, kicking over stones and socialising, if you start time gating that then it no longer is what drew me to the series in the first place. Hendo
That was brought up on the most recent Beastcast - there was always a timer on getting fruit from trees.
Jimboxy
Yeah it’s not really Animal Crossing like on the DS etc. You have mini areas that you travel between completing fetch quests for animals and collecting fruit/fish/bug depends on which area of the map you go to. It’s good and I’ll keep popping in to do bits and pieces; but I miss the building a community, growing different things, getting people who move in to like you, fossil hunting and all that stuff. And, I don’t really see why that couldn’t be replicated on mobile. In terms of hassling you for money, it’s no pushy at all and due to the nature of the game play, isn’t needed to make progress. To be honest, I can’t imagine why anyone would be into it enough to drop actual money when you can just leave it a few hours and come back.
