That's a lot of A Way Out chat.

I'm surprised you would be happy to go through again @Hendo, I loved it to bits but going through twice was enough. It's sort of like watching the same film back to back for me, I know a lot of people do that but I struggle with narrative heavy stuff when there's not really that much gameplay to back it up.

Best way to play is both people blind, it's sort of like playing the Portal 2 co-op with someone that already knows how to do everything, it's nice to see all the little hints and stuff but going in and working it out with another person who is equally as oblivious provides the best experience.

This is true, as I mentioned in it, however I figure with the friend pass I might as well get some use out of it.

How do you think we faired in skirting around the spoilers? I think we did a fairly good job, unless someone wants to know absolutely nothing about any plot set-up or vague gameplay elements.

You skirted close a few times but managed to rein it in. If you intend to play A Way Out and want to be completely blind to it, you might want to give that bit of the podcast a skip though, since they cover a few things that are really impressive if you didn't know about them beforehand.

EDIT: Also I will listen to the Yakuza show at some point. Actually listening to you talk about it in this episode made me want to go back and chance on it. Is it spoiler heavy? I might play them at some point, since I've heard practically zero bad things about them.

I dunno, we talked round the impressive bits. We could’ve been a lot less vague about what happens.

In the Yakuza show, there’s a brief synopsis of the plot set up for each game but we purposely avoided talking about story elements too much.

Firstly, for spoilers. But secondly (and mainly) anyone listening who hadn’t played any of them would completely lose track due to the large amount of Japanese names of characters they didn’t know.

We had to include the plot synopses for each game, and you can’t really get around the fact that the main character is alive all the way through 0 to 6. It’s tough to call it a spoiler that he hasn’t died, yet.
