HandsomeDead
I know a lots been said already about it (probably everything) in other threads but it's worth getting one started for the future. trailer! <param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIot0Otq7MA?version=3&hl=en_US"> It looks to have another character in there with a staff thing. Playable maybe? So in the aftermath of the surprise that this is being made and exclusive to WiiU no less I think I can now start to wonder what this means for the sequel. I'm not gonna lie, there is a bit of me that is anxious that some needless touch or motion controls are going to be added to it when I think all anyone wants is for it to be like the original and focus on being a game for the Classic controller. It may just be that, but I suppose I'd be happier after finding out more.
HandsomeDead
I didn't mean to tease so much. Story of my life. I never thought of co-op but I suppose that would work pretty well.
AndyKurosaki
My opinion is pretty much echoed across the interwebs: Bayonetta 2- Fuck Yeah! Wii U Exclusive- oh...fuck. Don't get me wrong, I'll likely pick one up someday, probably a year or two down the line when it's cheaper. But no 360/PS3 version makes me a sad panda. DANGERMAN
there's a Bayonetta anime on the way hard to say just from the trailer, but whatever it was that stopped Bayonetta from straying from knowing to gratuitous seems to have been lost

radiofloyd
Bayonetta 2 will be launched for Wii U this October in Europe, Nintendo has announced. As previously announced, the game will also include the original Bayonetta, updated for Wii U. A sequel to the 2009 original, it's the first time that the franchise has appeared on a Nintendo platform. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-06-10-bayonetta-2-out-this-november-in-europe
HandsomeDead
Brilliant news about the original being bundled in. I've been wanting to go back to it for ages.
HandsomeDead
No Original Bayonetta for eShop Version This morning, we were told Bayonetta would be included for free with Bayonetta 2 when the sequel releases in October for Wii U. It has since come to light that the offer is apparently only valid for retail copies of Bayonetta 2, however -- not eShop purchases. Bummer! That info comes straight from Nintendo's website for the game. I'm wondering if (and hoping that) there will be some sort of similar promotional offer for eShop users. Otherwise, retail it is! This bundled Wii U version of Bayonetta will run at 60 frames per second. It features GamePad support (touchscreen controls and off-TV play), Japanese-language options (audio tracks and subtitles), and new Nintendo-themed costumes for Bayonetta, like the Hero of Hyrule outfit above. I fully intended to get it physical anyway, but this isn't how you make your digital store look good.
AndyKurosaki
Aye, I was going retail anyway myself. October can't come soon enough.

Craymen Edge
I wonder if it's a technical limitation with the eshop. I know they've given away other games when purchasing one game, but that's always been when buying a disc based game, I think. It does make the digital edition look like worse value than the disc (although that depends if the port is any good).
HandsomeDead
I'm fairly sure it has developed in house so I doubt it will be the same situation as what happened with the PS3 version which was done in some shed at SEGA in six months. Says in the link it's running at 60fps at least.
