It survived the amazon circle of hell: Really nice bundle and surprisingly compact.12 likes

Retro impulse got me again FF Tactics with box, manual and innards I think is a pretty good deal. It’s in pretty great condition, too Then Turok 2 was just sitting there. Not the best condition because it doesn’t have the inside cardboard just the cartridge and manual. But I think I only have the cartridge and it was £25 so I thought why not. I love Turok10 likes

That's cool, they should do one every few years I bought a wireless Dreamcast controller called the Retro Fighters StrikerDC Wireless. It's a Bluetooth controller where the dongle goes in to the Dreamcast controller port and houses the VMU. It's got the same analogue technology as the Dreamcast pads so there's no stick drift. I think there's inbuilt vibration but I've only tested 1 game (Project Justice) and I didn't notice any Also pictured, the Shenmue duck and Streets of Rage badge that Spatular got me as a birthday present10 likes

This was my personal nonsensical expense at the end of the year. It's a collection of all currently available Annapurna games on Switch on a single cartridge, which is just a very cool idea I think. This might be something I only bought for the collection though because I already have the games that interested me. In the bigger box there's an Annapurna-branded carrying pouch for the Switch and a small plastic cartridge holder that I could have lived without but it was part of the deal.10 likes

New toy for the Switch. CRKD Nitro Deck limited edition purple which comes with a nice case, extra thumbstick toppers and braided 2.5m USB-C cable. It features hall effect thumbsticks (no drift), plugs in via the USB-C on bottom of Switch so works like a wired Pro controller (no lag), and has four remappable buttons on the back. Feels solid and well made, the sticks buttons and d-pad are all great although ZL/ZR are a little spongy.10 likes

My local CEX had Silent Hill 4 The Room for what seems to be a decent price, so I thought I'd buy it before the Silent Hill 2 remake comes out and makes the price jump back up In the bag next to it is a scart splitter, where it takes 1 output and sends it to two places. I'm thinking, coupled with a multi-scart adapter, then a scart to HDMI adapter, I could possibly use it to play lightgun games on a crt and capture them9 likes

Bit of a warning to collectors: the Xbox version can't be played off the disc. I installed it offline but when I tried to play it forced me to go online and download a massive update. Had I known that in advance I'm not sure if I had bought it at full price.9 likes

I think that's reasonable for three games though. Plus you can bet the physical edition will keep some value in the future. Anyway, my latest purchases: I plan on buying significantly less this year and I think this is a good mix to keep me occupied for a few months (in addition to backlog stuff).9 likes

a couple of Saturn games to keep you warm. Panzer Dragoon Zwei is nonsensical enough that it being in English or Japanese is the same experience. Deep Fear is Sega's Resident Evil. My memory is that it was pretty good, and it's apparently playable in English even on the much, much cheaper Japanese release (the PAL one goes for over £100)9 likes
